Generosity put into skilful action
From tea urns to treasuries — every skill has a place here, and every gift, large or small, sustains the training ground.
"If you knew what I know about the giving of gifts, you would not let a single meal pass without sharing it."
In this tradition, generosity is the first teaching — the Buddha taught it before virtue, and virtue before wisdom, because an open hand is where the whole path begins. There are three ways to take part: give your time, give your skill, or give in the ancient sense of dāna — generosity.
