Guardianship
Dhamma Training Ground holds a rare office in relation to certain institutions: the Guardian, who protects, and never possesses.
What a Guardian is
A Guardian holds consent over a short list of matters that would change what an institution fundamentally is — its identity, its land, its continued existence — without holding ownership, management, or day-to-day control. It is a protective office, not an executive one: a power to withhold consent, not a power to command.
To protect, never to possess.
