If something here is wrong, we want to know. Correcting an error is a smaller thing than defending one.
The standard we hold ourselves to
Everything published by this community must be truthful, unifying, kind and meaningful. In practice that rules out a good deal of ordinary web writing: exaggeration, urgency tricks, manufactured scarcity, dark patterns, and criticism of other traditions. If you find any of those on this site, that is an error, and we would like to hear about it.
How to raise a correction
- Write to the office at admin@dhammatg.org, or use the contact form, naming the page.
- We acknowledge within a week.
- If you are right, we fix it and note the change at the foot of the page where the change is material.
- If we disagree, we say so plainly and explain why. You are free to disagree with our explanation.
Comments and public exchanges
This site has no comment threads. Sincere questions sent to us are answered, and some exchanges are published — without names, and only with the sender's permission. We do not publish material that attacks a person or a tradition.
Complaints about conduct
Complaints about the conduct of anyone in this community, including concerns about child safety, are handled under our complaints procedure rather than this policy. They may be raised with any Council member or in writing to the Secretary, and are not handled by the same people who edit this website.
Annual review
Once a year the Council reviews this website against two questions: were we truthful and restrained, and were we energetic — did the teaching actually go out this year, or only wait?
